Transition Plan Process

If you have been taking a medication prior to joining our plan that is not on the SilverScript formulary, requires prior authorization or step therapy, the pharmacist who refills your prescription will be able to provide you a one-time fill of up to 30 days of your medicine at the SilverScript formulary appropriate tier level of co-payment, depending on your plan.

If you are a resident of a long-term care facility, you will be allowed up to 90 days of your medication at the SilverScript formulary tier level of co-payment applicable to your plan.

If you are a current member affected by a formulary change from one year to the next, we will provide a temporary supply of the non-formulary drug if you need a refill of the drug during the first 90 days of the new plan year.

After you receive your transition fill you need to talk to your doctor to discuss other medication options that may be available to you within our formulary.

Please refer to your Evidence Of Coverage for more detailed information on our Transition Plan Process.

If you are not sure whether a drug you are currently taking is on the SilverScript formulary, click on Drug List Look-up tool to search for your drug. If you need further assistance, please contact a member of our Enrollment Support team.
